Navigating Springdale

Strategize Your Shots

Winding through the rolling hills and highlands of Mt. Pisgah, the Springdale Golf Course reveals the simple pleasures of life for an experience that’s calm yet challenging and serene yet invigorating.

Hole 01

A challenging dogleg right to start your round. The best tee shot aims for the middle, but don't be tricked into trying to cut the corner.

Hole 02

A straightaway par 4. The green is very deep, so take notice of the pin position.

Hole 03

A tough uphill par 3. This green has a steep slope in the middle that will reject a shot short of the target.

Hole 04

A short par 4 with water guarding the green. A driver may not be needed from this tee.

Hole 05

A reachable par 5. Favor the left side of the tee, but be sure to avoid the fairway bunker. A large tree guards the right side of the fairway and will affect second shots right of center.

Hole 06

The toughest hole on the front nine. This hole plays uphill, adding to the difficulty. There's a blind water hazard on the left side of the fairway that will affect your second shot.

Hole 07

A beautiful uphill par 4. Add a club or two for your second shot.

Hole 08

A tough downhill par 3. This green slopes from front to back, making putts to the back of the green difficult.

Hole 09

A reachable par 5 if you position the tee shot properly. If not, you will need to hit a layup shot short of the creek crossing the fairway. When laying up, note the downhill slope that feeds into the creek.

Hole 10

A par 5 that will challenge you for all three shots. This hole is not reachable for most golfers. A creek crosses the fairway, and an uphill second shot makes for a long hole.

Hole 11

A short par 4 with a creek guarding the front of the green. The best tee shot here is to the left center of the fairway.

Hole 12

A downhill par 3 with a tricky green. The subtle slope makes putting a true test.

Hole 13

A par 4, the infamous Springdale Spasm provides a true challenge to all players. The best tee shot is just left of the fairway bunker. This will give you the best angle to approach the uphill green that is guarded by a creek on the left and OB on the right.

Hole 14

A tricky downhill dogleg left par 4. The best tee shot here is a fairway wood or hybrid to the top of the hill. This strategy will leave a long second shot that plays two clubs shorter because of the downhill slope.

Hole 15

A long straightaway uphill par 4. This hole plays two clubs longer, and the green slopes from back to front, providing a tough putt.

Hole 16

A dogleg right par 4. This is one of the toughest holes at Springdale. A tee shot just left of the fairway bunker will give you the best angle at a green guarded by a creek.

Hole 17

A great little par 3. Trees guard the left side, and a creek crossing in front of the green will gather any shot that falls short of the target.

Hole 18

A reachable par 5 for the big hitters. A creek crosses the fairway in the layup area, so be careful with your layup yardage. This green also has subtle breaks, making putting difficult.
